Developing a Plan for Accessibility

The library accessibility action plan, accessible through your Project ENABLE account's "Ideas" page, is a template intended to help you reach your vision of an accessible library. The action plan will be used to identify the relevant factors that will impact your vision and to develop appropriate strategic steps to actualize your vision. Examples of potential planning challenges and solutions can be found here. The Universal Design Library Accessibility Action Plan will serve as a guide to help you implement Universal Design principles into practice. Throughout this module, we will make reference back to your action plan by developing your goals and specifying objectives and methods for achieving them.

Review Matthew LaBrake's action plan example for Salt Point Educational Center. After you have reviewed his action plan report, read the brief description of the action plan. What are some examples of possible planning challenges that could arise upon implementing this action plan? What are some possible solutions?
