Why does D&I Representation affect a person with autism’s ability to find and keep a job?

D&I representation does not affect a person with autism’s ability to find/ keep employment. The autism community is over represented, which forces people with autism to compete for certain jobs. People with disabilities, especially those that are not apparent, are underrepresented in company strategies to hire minority populations. D&I representation only focuses on hiring people under the age of 30 with disabilities, making it hard for adults with autism to find employment.

Why does self-worth affect a person with autism’s ability to find and keep a job?

People with disabilities can often enter a depressive state in which they feel they are not good enough for certain jobs and thus do not seek employment. If an employer knows his employee has low self-worth they will likely fire them in fear of having to provide assistance/support. Self-worth does not affect a person's ability to find a job but does make it difficult for someone to keep a job because they hate what they are doing and will eventually quit. All of the above
