Ruth V. Small, Ph.D.
Ruth is Project ENABLE's Principal Investigator (PI), Laura J. & L. Douglas Professor & Director of the School Media Program in the School of Information Studies and Founding Director of the Center Digital Literacy at Syracuse University. Her research focuses on the areas of motivation, information literacy, and the innovation process. She has authored or co-authored seven books and over 120 book chapters and journal articles. Ruth has extensive experience in program evaluation and has managed more than 20 funded projects.
William Myhill, M.Ed., J.D.
William is co-Principal Investigator (co-PI) of Project ENABLE, Director of Legal Research & Writing at the Burton Blatt Institute and Adjunct Professor of Law at Syracuse University. In addition to a law degree, William has a M.Ed. in special education and served for 12 years as a special educator. His research expertise includes disability and education law, special education practices, accessible information technologies, assistive technology, universal design principles, and making reasonable accommodations and modifications.
Thomas Hardy, President of DataMomentum Inc.
Tom is the Technical Consultant to Project ENABLE. He is President of Data Momentum Inc. located in Ithaca, New York. His team of web application developers accomplish the programming requirements for the PE training website.
Julie P. Horwat, Lead Project Assistant, 2017
Julie is currently pursuing her MS in Library and Information Science with a specialization in School Media. She is a former middle school English/Language Arts teacher and is currently serving as the Library Media Specialist for grades 6-12 in the Holland Patent (NY) School District.
