Renee Hill, Ph.D., former co-PI, Project ENABLE

Renee was co-Principal Investigator (co-PI) of Project ENABLE. She is currently Assistant Professor of Practice in the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. Renee received her undergraduate degree in Exceptional Student Education, Varying Exceptionalities and her master's and doctoral degrees in Information Studies from Florida State University. Her research focuses on diversity, inclusion, and underrepresented populations.

Kenneth Roman, MSLISSM, Lead Project Assistant, 2015

Kenneth is a Project Assistant for Project ENABLE. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science/School Media from Syracuse University's School of Information Studies. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from SUNY Binghamton in 2014 and works as an intern for a public library's computer center.

Katie Justus, MSLIS Candidate, Lead Project Assistant, 2013-2015

Katie is a Project Assistant for Project ENABLE. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science with a specialization in School Media from Syracuse University's School of Information Studies. After receiving Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and History from SUNY Oswego in 2012, she worked at a public library coordinating a nutrition program directed at children. She also is the Editorial Assistant of the journal School Library Research.

Lydia Herring-Harrington, Ph.D., MSLIS Candidate, Project Assistant, 2013-2015

Lydia is a Project Assistant for Project ENABLE. She joined the team in the fall of 2013 and is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science at Syracuse University's School of Information Studies. Prior to entering the world of librarianship, Lydia earned a Ph.D. in Classical Art and Archaeology from the University of Michigan and worked in the museum field.

Carolyn Fargnoli, Ph.D., MSLIS Candidate, Project Assistant, 2013-2015

Carolyn is a Project Assistant for Project ENABLE. She joined the team in the fall of 2013 and is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science at Syracuse University's School of Information Studies. Prior to studying library science, Carolyn obtained an M.F.A. in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College, an M.A. in English from Boston College, and a Ph.D. in English from SUNY-Binghamton, and taught courses at the undergraduate level in creative writing, literature, and composition.

Jessica Regitano, MSLIS Candidate, Part-Time Project Assistant, 2014

Jessica joined the Project ENABLE team as a part-time project assistant in February 2014 and is focused primarily on website development. Jessica is attending Syracuse University where she is pursing her graduate degree in Library and Information Science with a specialization in School Media. Prior to attending Syracuse University, Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Childhood Education and Psychology from Russell Sage College and an A.A.S. in Early Childhood Education from Hudson Valley Community College. She is a NYS certified teacher and worked as a teaching assistant and an after-school program director prior to attending Syracuse University.

Kristen Link, Ph.D., M.L.I.S., Former Lead Project Assistant, 2010-2012.

Kristen was the first Lead Project Assistant for Project ENABLE from 2010-2012. After receiving a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science, with specializations in both School Media and Digital Libraries, at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, she received a position with Polaris Library Systems. Prior to returning to school, Kristen obtained M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Cognitive Psychology, and taught courses at the undergraduate level in Psychology and Cognitive Science.

Jessica Stewart, MSLIS, Former Lead Project Assistant, September 2011-2013

Jessica was Lead Project Assistant for Project ENABLE from 2011 and 2013. After earning her Masters of Science degree in Library and Information Science with a specialization in School Media from Syracuse University in 2013, Jessica accepted a middle and upper school library media specialist position at The Meadows School in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to attending Syracuse University, Jessica earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications from Trinity University (TX) and worked as a coordinator in feature film production in Los Angeles.

Erin Bennett, MSLIS, Former Part-Time Project Assistant, 2012-2013

Erin was a part-time Project Assistant for Project ENABLE. In 2013, she earned her Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science with a School Media Specialization at Syracuse University's School of Information Studies. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY, she worked for one year through AmeriCorps as a one-to-one aide for a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a school for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities.

Stephanie Helsher, MSLIS, Former Part-Time Project Assistant, 2012- 2013

Stephanie was a part-time Project Assistant for Project ENABLE. She earned her Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science at Syracuse University's School of Information Studies. After receiving a Bachelors of Arts degree in English from SUNY Geneseo, Stephanie spent a few years working in the commercial insurance industry where she earned the industry designations of AINS and CISR.

Morgan Bond, MSLIS, Former Part-Time Project Assistant, 2012-2013

Morgan was a part-time Project Assistant for Project ENABLE. She earned her Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science degree at Syracuse University's School of Information Studies. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in 2011 from SUNY Oswego.

Lisa Umland, MSLIS, Former Part-Time Project Assistant, 2012-2013

Lisa is a former part-time Project Assistant for Project ENABLE. She graduated with her Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science with a School Media specialization from Syracuse University in 2014. Prior to attending Syracuse University, Lisa received a Bachelors of Arts degree in English from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Bernadette Pasek, M.L.I.S., Former Part-Time Project Assistant, 2011-2012

Bernadette was a part-time Project Assistant for Project ENABLE in 2011-2012. She is a recent Master of Science in Library and Information Science graduate with a School Media Specialization at Syracuse University, and is currently employed by Williamsville Central School District as a school librarian. Before attending Syracuse University, Bernadette taught English as a foreign language to elementary and middle school students in Japan.
